Privacy Policy
This page explains exactly what we collect, what we don't collect, and how we handle any information that passes through BestBioForInstagram.com. We've kept it honest and readable on purpose.
The short version, if you just want the headline
Everything you type into the bio generator stays in your browser. We don't see it, store it, or send it anywhere. No account is required. No personal data is collected to use the tool. The only data we process is basic, anonymous website analytics that helps us keep things running well. That's genuinely the whole picture.
๐ What This Policy Covers
Who We Are
BestBioForInstagram.com is a free web tool that generates Instagram bio suggestions. The website is operated by a small independent team that built the generator to solve a problem they personally experienced. There's no large corporation behind this. It's a focused product built and maintained by people who use Instagram themselves.
This privacy policy applies specifically to the BestBioForInstagram.com website and everything accessible from it. If you've landed here from another website, that site's own privacy policy applies to what happened over there. We can only speak to how we handle things on our end.
If you have questions about any of this, or anything on this page doesn't quite make sense, our contact address is at the bottom. Someone real will read your message and give you a straight answer.
What We Don't Collect
We think it's worth being upfront about this because it's genuinely different from how a lot of websites work. Most tools that help you write content for social media either require an account or quietly collect the inputs you type in. We don't do either of those things.
We don't collect anything you type into the bio generator. Your name, your niche, your profession, the tone you prefer, the language you choose, the skills you list. None of that reaches our servers. It processes in your browser and disappears when you close the tab.
We don't collect your email address unless you choose to write to us directly. There's no newsletter signup, no lead magnet, no "enter your email to see your bio" moment. Email addresses only come to us when someone sends an email to our contact address, and they're used only to reply to that message.
We don't require any kind of account. You don't sign up, log in, or hand over any credentials to use the tool. No username, no password, no social login, no phone number, no date of birth. The generator works immediately without any of that.
There's no profile being built about you here. No history of the bios you've generated. No record of how many times you've visited or what inputs you used. If you want to keep a bio you liked, you have to copy it yourself because we genuinely don't save it anywhere.
What We Do Collect
We want to be transparent about the small amount of data that does come through when you use any website, including ours.
๐ Anonymous Analytics
We use standard web analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they look at, roughly where in the world traffic comes from, and what devices or browsers people use. This data is aggregated. It tells us "1,400 people visited from India on mobile today" not "this specific person visited three times."
๐ Server Logs
Our web server automatically logs basic request information, including IP addresses, the page requested, the time of the request, and the browser type. These logs are used for security monitoring and diagnosing technical issues. They're not used to build profiles about individual visitors and they're retained only as long as necessary.
๐ฌ Contact Messages
If you email us directly, we store your message and email address for as long as is needed to respond and handle any follow-up. We don't add you to any list. We don't contact you again unless you've asked a question that requires us to follow up.
๐ช Essential Cookies
We use minimal cookies for basic website functionality. These are not tracking cookies. They don't follow you across the internet. They don't know who you are. They just help the site load consistently and remember simple preferences like your language selection if that feature is active.
That's the complete list. There's nothing else we're collecting that isn't mentioned here.
Cookies and Tracking
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device to remember things between visits. Some websites use dozens of them to track your behaviour across sessions and across other websites. We keep our cookie use minimal and focused on things that actually help the site work better for you.
What we use cookies for: remembering basic site preferences, keeping the page loading correctly on return visits, and understanding broad traffic patterns through analytics. Our analytics cookies don't identify you individually. They count visitors in aggregate and report things like "mobile users spent an average of two minutes on the generator page this week."
What we don't use cookies for: building a profile of your browsing habits, retargeting you with ads elsewhere on the internet, tracking your activity across other websites, or storing anything sensitive about you.
Most modern browsers let you control cookie settings. You can block third-party cookies, clear existing cookies, or set your browser to alert you when a site tries to place a cookie. If you turn off cookies entirely, the site will still work, though some minor preferences might not persist between visits.
We don't currently run advertising on the site, which means there are no advertising or retargeting cookies from ad networks. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy before it takes effect and make the change visible to users.
How the Generator Actually Works
We want to explain this clearly because it's the part that matters most for privacy and people often assume it works differently than it does.
When you fill out the bio generator form, the inputs you provide are processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. The form fields, your tone selection, your language preference, and everything else you enter stay on your device. They don't travel to our servers. They don't get sent to any external API. There's no network request carrying your information away while you're typing.
The bio generation itself happens client-side, which is a technical way of saying it happens in your browser, on your device, using code that's already been loaded onto the page. The moment you close the tab, everything you typed is gone. There's no session, no history, no way to retrieve what you entered.
This was a deliberate design choice we made early on. We didn't want to be responsible for storing people's personal descriptions of themselves, their goals, their professions, and their personalities. That felt like a responsibility we didn't need to take on, and a privacy risk we didn't want to create. So we built it in a way that makes the whole question irrelevant.
The bios you generate are yours. We don't see them. We don't have copies of them. When you copy a bio and use it on your Instagram profile, that's the first and only place it exists in any permanent form.
Third Party Services
Like most websites, we rely on a small number of third party services to keep things running. We try to be selective about which ones we use and we want you to know what they are.
Google Fonts is used to load the typefaces you see on this site. When your browser requests a font file, Google's servers can see that a request came from our site. Google has its own privacy policy that governs what they do with those requests. We use Google Fonts because they're reliable and fast, but if you'd prefer they not be loaded, you can block them through browser extensions like uBlock Origin without affecting the core functionality of the generator.
Web analytics helps us understand how many people use the site and which features they use most. The analytics service we use does not get access to what you type into the generator. It sees aggregate traffic information, not individual user behaviour tied to personal data.
Web hosting infrastructure means our site sits on servers provided by a hosting company. Those servers process requests and serve pages to your browser. Standard server-side logging applies at the hosting level, which captures the kinds of technical details described in section three.
We don't embed social media tracking pixels, advertising scripts, or any kind of data brokering service. If you see something loading on the site that you don't recognise and it concerns you, please reach out and ask us about it. We'd rather explain it than have people wonder.
Children's Privacy
BestBioForInstagram.com is a general audience website. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Since the tool doesn't require any personal information to function, there's very little risk of this happening in practice, but we want to state it clearly regardless.
Instagram itself requires users to be at least 13 years old to have an account. If you're using our bio generator, it's reasonable to assume you either have or are planning to have an Instagram account, which puts you in that age range or above.
If you're a parent or guardian and you believe a child under 13 has somehow provided personal information through this site, please contact us and we'll investigate promptly. Given how the generator works, we'd be surprised if this were possible, but we take the concern seriously regardless.
Your Rights Over Your Data
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights around personal data. In the European Union, the UK, California, and many other places, privacy laws give people specific rights to know what data is held about them, to request its deletion, and to object to certain types of processing.
Because we collect so little personal data, most of these rights are straightforward to address. If you've used the generator, there's simply no personal data tied to your bio inputs for us to share or delete. It never existed in our systems.
If you've emailed us at some point, we have your email address and the content of your message. You can ask us to delete that at any time by writing to our contact address. We'll confirm when it's done.
If you have concerns about data collected through server logs or analytics, you're welcome to ask us about it. We'll tell you honestly what we have, how long we keep it, and what we use it for. If there's a legitimate request to delete or modify something, we'll work with you on that.
We want to be straightforward: the privacy-by-design approach we took when building the generator wasn't just about compliance. It was about genuinely not wanting to hold data about people that we don't need. That makes these conversations easier for everyone.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to secure the small amount of data we do hold. The site is served over HTTPS, which means the connection between your browser and our servers is encrypted. Any contact email messages we receive are handled in secure systems with appropriate access controls.
That said, no internet system can guarantee perfect security. There is no such thing as 100% secure data transmission or storage, and it would be dishonest for us to claim otherwise. What we can say is that we apply sensible security practices and that we've deliberately limited what we collect specifically because data you don't hold is data you can't lose.
If we ever discovered a security incident that affected personal data, we would notify affected users as required by applicable law and work to address the issue as quickly as possible.
Changes to This Policy
We update this policy when something changes about how we handle data, when we add or remove a third party service, or when applicable laws require updates to our disclosures. The date at the top of this page reflects when the current version was written.
We don't send emails every time there's a small wording change. For changes that meaningfully affect your privacy or how we handle information, we'll make those changes visible on the site before they take effect. For anyone paying attention to the updated date, a change there signals something worth reading.
The core commitments in this policy, that we don't collect bio generator inputs, that no account is required, and that generated bios belong entirely to you, are things we have no intention of walking back. If circumstances ever required us to change those fundamentals, we'd communicate it prominently and give users time to decide how they feel about the new approach before it took effect.
Privacy Questions? Write to Us
If something on this page doesn't make sense, if you want to know more about a specific part of how we handle data, or if you'd like to make a request about information we hold, you can reach us directly. We respond to privacy questions the same way we respond to everything else: honestly and in plain language.
